About 100 pupils and 10 teachers will be going to Paris for Easter 2008. We are going for 4 days leaving on Wednesday 19th March and returning on Saturday 22nd March. We will be staying in a purpose built centre about an hours drive from Paris. We will tour Paris for one full day, going up the Eiffel Tower and sailing along the Seine on a bateau mouche. In the afternoon we will visit the Sacre Coeur and the artists’ market. On the second day we will visit Paris Eurodisney. You should look out for blanche neige and the barbe a papa !

We’re all hoping for ‘la vie en rose’ ! It sounds good….

I found the french trip a fun trip. even on the bus journey i found it fun. when we got to france we didnt go to the hotel we went straight to the cheese farm. we couldnt find it at first but after an extra hour we found it, so oviously we didnt have as long as what we first expected to walk around witch was ok because the smell was awfull and there wasnt really that much there to do. so we moved on to the water park where we spent the rest of the day there. we went back to the hotel where we had tea and spent the first night.on the second day we went to we did the history tour. we went to w world war one memorial and a medievil battle scene. we went back to the hotel were we had activities. on the third day of the trip we went to a theme park witch was the most enjoyable trip we went on. the next day we went to a market and brought our gifts. we headed back. and that was the end of our trip. it was overall a great trip.

Tuesday 4th July 2006

We left Thomas Adams school at 00:30 hours. I managed to get the back seat on the coach with my friends Sarah, Lauren, Beth and Ashley. We set off on the road to France. We were expecting to be on the bus for 6 - 7 hours to Dover, then to catch the ferry to France. Beth and Lauren slept for about three hours. Sarah and I only slept for an hour.

When we got to Dover we were told we could get straight onto the ferry which was just about to leave. We were on the ferry for about an hour and a half. At least we could walk around and stretch our legs. When we got off the ferry we set off to find the cheese and goat farm which was our first visit of the day. It took an hour to get to the area and another twenty minutes to find the actual farm, we were going around in circles!

When we found the farm we saw some goats and we tasted some sickly pancake stuff. After lunch we set off for the water park ‘Aqualud’. We were all looking forward to the water park because it was the weather was so hot.

When we got there we were told to take our shoes and socks off and then to goand get changed. The girls wore bikinis and the boys had to wear speedo’s. At Aqualud there was and indoor and outdoor section. The outdoor section had a green twisty slide, a yellow vertical slide, an octopus you had to try and jump on, a climbing frame and a track you had to go around in a rubber ring.

Inside there were three jaccuzzis, a big pool with a wave machine and a black hole slide which you went down in a rubber ring. There was also a ride called twister, where you slide around in bowl and then drop into a deep pool of water. There was one ‘cool’ slide that me and my friends all went on at the same time, sliding down and dropping into a pool then down another slide and dropping into a different pool etc. Lauren kept bumping into this good looking lad called Kevin. We stayed at Aqualud for 2 to 3 hours, on our way to the chateau (where we were going to be staying) we fell asleep on the back seat of the coach.

When we finally arrived at the chateau we unpacked and went for tea. For starter we had cheese pancakes, for main course chicken wedges and for dessert chocolate brownies.

After tea we played football for 3 hours then it was time for bed. I shared a room with Bethany, Lauren and Sarah. I slept on the top bunk.

On Wednesday we went to a world war 1 museum and memoral place it was “very interesting”.  We went into a sort of slide show about what would have happened during the war and what it would have looked like.  As we were listening to the last one all of a sudden there was a big thud on the floor.  WAZ had fainted through dehidration.  Pen, Ash and me were so frightened we were shaking.WAZ was ok in the end after miss had given him 2 glasses of water !

The French Trip was really good. I found it really exciting, except we spent most of the time on the bus!  It felt like we were living on the bus!  On the Tuesday when we arrived in France we were going to go to a french cheese farm but we had trouble finding it, so Mrs Pond asked a farmer, but he didn’t know where it was so we were on our way to Aqualud (like waterworld) when we went past the cheese farm……but of course we had to stop there! On a really hot day we went to a really really really……………..smelly goat’s cheese farm.  The smell was absolutely revolting. After that we had our dinner on the way to Aqualad.  Aqualud was fantastic. We went to the indoor and outdoor swimming pool and went in the jacussi!  It was brilliant. We then went to the chateau where we stayed.

The next day we went to 2 museums. One was a war museum, called Notre Dame de Lorette and the other was a medieval museum at Agincourt (25 October 1415 !) between our visit of these museums we went to a dairy farm where we had lunch.  The food there smelt horrible, especially the cheese tart but the chips were nice and we got to drink coke.  Afterwards the lady at the farm took us to a basement where they age the cheese. It was sssssoooooooo funny because everyone was holding their noses.

The next day we went shopping in Lille and then ate our dinner on our way to a theme park in Belguim.  That was fantastic.  I had a really good time.  Me and my friends went on the rapids there like 4 times!

The next day was the day we left but before that we went to a french market at Aire sur le Lys where we went shopping for a bit!  There were lots of bargains.

Well we had an interesting time didn’t we? The French Trip 2006 was in st. Omar, it looked a bit like England. iI felt like we spent half of the time on the bus which isn’t good really! the first day we left at midnight, we were supposed to any way but some people were late including one of the teachers!!

The weather was good but it did thuner on the first night and kept people up. Miss got a little bit  very moody at midnight when people wouldn’t go to sleep, we couldn’t help being excited could we?!?

The next day was spent at museums one of which was the museum of the battle of Azincourt when was that again… 25th october 1415, I swear that it was brainwashing us!! next day was the theme park when everybody was wet from the rides including the teachers! We also whent to two french farms one sort of smelt a little bit.

But it’s all good we had a bunch of fun and i don’t think many people wanted to go home 1. because it was fun and 2. because people got tyravel sick!!!!!!

The trip to the france was a long and boring bus journey. We set off from adams car park at 12am on Monday 3rd July. After 7 hours on the coach, and an hour on the ferry we arrived in France! The first place we went to was the Supermarket, and of course, the teachers felt the need to fill the coach with wine. After a short break we continued on our travels, next stop, the smelly cheese farm. It was really hot, and everyone was tired, so some people stayed out in the shade whilst others looked at how the cheese was made. After that we went to a swimming centre “Aqua Lud”. Some people went in, whilst some sunbathed. After the past exhausting 24 hours, we went back to our accomodation. ‘Chateau D’ebblingham’. We all had something to eat and then went straight to sleep. But then there was the Thunderstorm :-/. The rest of the week flew by, we went to some war museums, and a medival museum, and we also went shopping, but the best day was the theme park in Belgium. We went on the big water rides, and got completely saoked. So we ran upto the King Lion [not a real lion, a dressed up man] and hugged him! Overall this trip was really good, and we met some new friends on the boring bus journeys. Hope to go again soon..

It was 12pm on the 3rd july 2006 in the school car park when we met to leave for france. Unfortunatly for the teachers, everyone was really loud because we were all so excited! The journey seemed to go on forever,  but eventually we got to the ferry port at Dover. We got straight on the ferry, because it was ready to leave, which was lucky because normally people have to wait to board the ferry. The ferry journey went really quickly, even though everyone felt ill from the bus journey! On the third day, we went to a theme park, that had lots of water rides. This was really fun because everyone was so hot! The trip went really quickly!

It was really really good [:

I liked the King Lion because he hugged us

&& he was a cool cool Lion [:

We all went on the big water ride.

&& Megan’s skirt went see-through :o

&&; so did my top :o

But it was okay, because we went on a big fast ride to dry us off.

Monday 3rd July
I got up at quarter to midnight to go and catch the bus from school. When we got there the bus wasn’t there and neither was Mrs Pond, so we waited for a few minutes and then the bus arrived and then a few more minutes later Mrs Pond arrived.

I think teachers should be making use of your mobile phone’s facilities more in class. Did you know that if your teacher has a laptop computer with bluetooth you can send audio files straight to them. How do you feel about using your mobile phone in class ? Have you got any ideas how we can use this technology to help and encourage you ? How many of you already have and use Skype ?
